Upon the LICQual Level 3 Award in National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), learners will be able to

  •  Principles of Pool Lifeguarding

By the end of this unit, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the roles, responsibilities, and professional conduct expected of a qualified pool lifeguard.
  • Describe the legal and ethical considerations in lifeguarding, including duty of care.

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of enrollment.
  • A minimum of secondary education (high school completion or equivalent) is recommended.
  • No prior lifeguarding experience is required.
  • Applicants must have a good command of written and spoken English, as the course materials, assessments, and practical instructions are delivered in English.
