The dissertation is the main module of the BSc (Hons) Psychology (Top-up) programme. It provides learners with the opportunity to conduct independent research on a selected topic within psychology. This includes identifying a research problem, reviewing relevant literature, and applying appropriate research methods to collect and analyse data. It helps develop strong research and academic writing skills.

Through this module, learners demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate psychological theories and present evidence-based findings. Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment.
  • Candidates should hold a relevant Level 5 qualification, such as a Higher National Diploma (HND), Foundation Degree, or equivalent in psychology or a related discipline.
  • While prior work experience in psychology, social sciences, or related fields is not mandatory, it is considered advantageous and may strengthen applications.
  • As the programme is delivered in English, learners must demonstrate intermediate to advanced English proficiency in reading, writing, and academic communication.
